Privacy policy

When you complete a contact, health-check or guide form, I collect what you enter—usually your name, email and information about your business or website. Analytics may also record technical details such as IP address and browser type.

I use the information to reply, provide the service you asked about and improve the site. If you request a resource, I may follow up about related services; you can opt out at any time.

I do not sell or rent personal information. Reputable hosting, email and analytics providers process it only on my behalf, unless disclosure is required by law.

Questions you type into Ask Mark, the AI assistant on this site, are sent to Google's Gemini service to write the answer, and the conversation is kept so I can see what people ask and improve the answers. It is only linked to you if you choose to send it to me with your details. Please don't enter anything sensitive.

The instant website check fetches the address you enter and sends it to Google's PageSpeed Insights to measure speed. If you then ask for a personal review, a summary of the results is sent to me with your request.

I take reasonable steps to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The site runs over SSL and the systems behind it are kept current, although no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

You can ask what personal information I hold, request a correction or ask for deletion. Email mark@paragondesign.co.nz and I will handle the request in line with the Privacy Act.
